Farm Life

Out on the farm!
Joey and Rhys checking out the farm.

Brooke going to give Pacey a treat.

Rhys' first experience with a bunny! She pulled out Lola's hair and tugged on her ears.

Brooke tried some chocolate cake and loved it. Sorry about the angle of the photo, i keep changing it and it just goes back!

Well we had a great weekend at my sister-in-laws on the weekend. We enjoyed farm life (and i am a city girl through and through)!! We went for a walk, saw the horses, played with their new rabbit, went to a rummage sale, garage sale, and and auction (all in one day!). We had a blast and i took tons of photos! I can't wait to scrapbook them. I am sending them to Black's today so that I can start making pages really soon!!!

My sis-in-law, Renee, and I scrapbooked on Friday night for awhile. She has only made one small album before (for my shower gift) and it was great! I taught her some new tricks and left her with some of my supplies. I am sure she will do great! She was like a natural when i was helping her!! Unfortunately i forgot to snap some pics of our pages we created.

Time flies....

This is the only layout that I have completed lately!!! I have been so busy making jewelry that i didn't have time to scrapbook. Lately it seems i only have enough creative juices for one hobby at a time!!

I just love the new Queen & Company products!! I am sure that you will all snatch them up at the Spring Fling!! I hope that you all have a wonderful time...it is always two days well spent!

This is another Melina photo from Rhys' 6 month photo shoot. Hard to believe that she is 7 months today! I guess i better start another layout!!!

Extreme Layout

This is the layout I created for Rhys' 6 month photo.
I just love it! A little over the top with all the things on the page..but sometimes I like lots of stuff!
I submitted it to Canadian Scrapbooker...so it took me awhile before I wanted to post it!
Hope you like it!

Great Gifts

I love giving personalized gifts for special occasions so here are a couple of gifts i have created!

This little pink album is an All my Memories (AMM) accordian album that holds 6x6 pages, and it is only $9.99 at JSI. I am giving this one to my mom for mothers day. I have color copied some recent layouts i did of rhys (color copied at staples and reduced my 12x12 page to 50%) and placed them in this album. It worked really well because my layouts tend to be bulky and would not fit in the album, but by color copying them the pages are flat and fit well into the album.

This album is a Maya Road 8x8 Chipboard album that Rhys and I made Joey for Christmas. I had to reduce the number of pages because i made it too thick and they wouldn't all fit into the album when i was done.

Old Pages

I was looking through old albums the other day and came across these photos. I did them in 2001! I was laughing at how i used some bling on the pages and how i have come full circle and i love using it again. These pages are on 8.5x11 paper as that is how i first started scrapbooking. These are some of my only old pages that i actually like! most of them contain stickers and crazy shaped photos...so they are not as appealing to me anymore.

No New Pages

Well...no time to scrapbook today. I received a call from Paramount Spa to say that they would like to purchase more of my jewelry so I have been busy creating some unique pieces. No time to scrapbook until I am able to make a few more pieces! I need to make some money to pay for all of the great new things JSI got in! I love the new Queen and Company embellishments and can't wait to use them! Maybe I will have time to make one quick page before I make more jewelry?!

First Christmas

Well I am busy organizing the layouts that i have completed and putting them into some sort of order. These layouts will go in her "first" album that contains layouts that cover all of her firsts (first bath, cereal, halloween, day at home, etc).
It is hard to believe that Christmas was almost 4 months ago...man time flies!
Hopefully i will make some new layouts in the next couple of days so stay posted!

Doodle stamps

Leica is the queen of doodles!!! I can't doodle very well, but the Rhonna Farrer stamps do a great job! When i look at this layout i can't believe that it all started with a piece of plain pink cardstock! What an inexpensive way to create a page! Thanks for the inspiration Leica!

Here is another stamped layout! I also used my Heide Swapp iron-on letters! I had these made a week ago and just added the photos!
Thanks to Melina for another great photo shoot!!

Scrap for Trina Pages

On this page I used Fancy Pants Paper and added a few extra flourishes (Fancy Pants-Rhonna Farrer stamps) to the side of the page. I also used a rub-on to say "beautiful" (Bohemia rub-on), a foam flourish that i created by using the new die-cut at JSI and some flowers, buttons, bling, and page pebbles.

Rhys never pouts, so we thought this picture that Melina captured was so cute!!! I loved that the Basic Grey paper worked so well with her outfit!
Products used: Basic Grey paper, Bazzil cardstock, buttons, puff paint, Heide Swapp hearts, Thickers and Making memories shimmer stickers, flowers, and stamps.

More Fancy pants paper! I just love this line of paper! I am really loving flourishes lately. I added a few extra stamps, buttons, bling, pebbles, hearts, and thickers foam stickers.

I loved this photo that Melina took so I blew it up to and 8x12! I didn't want to add to much to this page as i wanted the photo to really stand out.
Leica and I did a page swap! These are the two pages that she created for me...I love them! It was so much fun to use some one's photos and create a page! Check out her blog to see the page I created of Riley (her link can be found under "local talent" on my blog.

Thanks to Melina Perron for another great photo shoot!!!! I think that her photos rock and her prices are so reasonable! Check out her blog ... the link can be found on my page as well under "local talent".
More pages to come!

Scrap For Trina

Hello Everyone
I just got home and put rhys to bed following a fantastic day of scrapbooking!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I spent the day at Trina's Scrap Fundraiser and I had a hoot! I can't remember the last time I visited so much and actually got a few pages done!
To the ladies that put this on I must say that it was top notch...it was just too bad that Trina couldn't have been there in person (I know she was there in spirit)! She would have loved it!!
I will post my layouts tomorrow...way too tired tonight to photograph them and post them.
I swapped pics with Leica and wow your should see the layouts she created! Check out her blog to see them soon. I also created a layout for her...it was soooo much fun working with boy products! I still have to finish one for Melina.
Have a great night.
Sorry that you missed the event for Trina! Great prizes (I won 2!!), great food, and tons of fun!!

#2--A bag full of my fav things!! It has wonderful thinks like ribbon, chipboard shapes, buttons, brads, rub-ons, metal embellishments, and a ruler just to name a few things.
#3--A bag full of kids themed items. Such as ribbon, stickers, brads, mini clothes pins, and much more!

Hockey Layouts

There is paint lightly brushed on this page to give it a more rugged look.
The word "hockey" was created by embossing chipboard.

The skate is fixed to a file folder which opens up to reveal a variety of photos and the journalling.

The laces on the side of the page were created by placing eyelets on the page and using ribbon to lace up just like a skate.

Ralna phoned me yesterday to ask if I could post some of my hockey layouts, so here are a few of them...email me at pbjewels@hotmail.com if you have questions about the layouts or the techniques used on the layouts.

Little Angel

I thought of this poem while "pumping milk" for rhys one morning at 4 am...not too bad for a sleep deprived new mom!
This picture is very special to me. not many people could comprehend how small rhys was when she was born...but boy does this photo depict how tiny she was. Hard to believe that just 6 months ago she was this tiny (3lbs 8oz). But by the grace of God all is okay!!

Rhys is 3 days old in this photo! so tiny and sweet.
These layouts are not new, but i didn't realize i hadn't posted them!
New ones to come today...check back tonight.

Spring Cleaning

Well i read Leica's post about spring cleaning and boy oh boy do i know what she means!!! I don't have a scrapbook room so our dining room table is usually covered in all of my stuff! Since we had Rhys i can only count 24 days (in 6 months) that we have ate at our table! and this was usually because we had company!

So....I have been busy re-organizing my scrapbook stuff. I should have a yard sale with it! I am a hoarder (spelling??). I love to buy things and save them, however i have so much stuff that i will never use and should get rid of! For example...Leica and i went to Edmonton for a convention and i bought three different heide swapp iron-on transfer fonts, then JSI got some in and i bought two more, however i have only used them once (last april). So I vow to use some older products (like the iron-ons) and save myself some storage space! I have now made two layouts with them and promise to use more!

Thank the lord Joey is so understanding! I would kill him if he left a mess like this out all the time! what a double standard! maybe this is because i clean the house...who knows.

I picked up Rhys' 6 month photos from Melina last night and fired them off to Blacks to be printed. I will pick them up tomorrow. I already made pages for a couple of them and i will post them as soon as i have the photos!!

Here is my only recent layout that has a photo..more to follow tomorrow...if i ever finish cleaning up my huge mess!!!
