Well we went to Home Depot and bought our$54 tree...set it in the stand and let the branches fall.
Sunday before we had lunch we all decorated it...then mid-afternoon (while I was out) it fell...Joey cleaned it up and salvaged all he could...set it back up and hoped for the best.
Then at supper it came crashing down again...all my childhood ornaments smashed into thousands of pieces!!!!
Saucy...I feel your pain!

Oh NO! It seems that has been a common mishap this season. I'm glad that the girls were not around when it happened! We tie ours to the wall so the cat and the kids don't pull it down.
How did the pictures go on Thursday?
Oh Pam.....a rough day! Just think of all the new ornaments you can buy.....also....I think hot glue gives character...hmmm, maybe a new mosaic with pieces!
Oh dear not you too! I am so sorry. But then...hmmm...is this an opportunity for an all new look to the tree?
It also sounds like time for a new stand...
I used to have one that had a large water reservoir that contained a tube to one of the 3 feet that made it easier to fill. It was a super hard plastic and really sturdy. Get rid of that round one, and get one with 3 "feet" that stretch out far and wide.
Best of luck
Oh Pam! First Saucy, now you. An ideal time to start a new colection? Maybe some new mosaic pieces will rise from the ruins too?
Wow, what is with the trees this year??? saucy & Pam, who's next???I will keep my eye out for something cool for you!since you did the same to another friend!
Did you shed a tear... because that would be totally allowed in a case like that.
I have some vintage ornaments to share with you... they might be close to your childhood ornaments. Let me dig them out and we can meet up for a cocoa and I can get them to you!
Oh Pam! Damn hardwoods hey?? Have a heard a few people comment that their trees have fallin too! Thanks for the bracelet and earings, they are beautiful of course!
