Rhys' Firsts

These photos are from the first day Rhys tried cereal (the sweet potatoe page will be posted soon). She loved the cereal and did very well eating it for the first time! I used the Cosmo Cricket paper that i love, thickers, buttons, bling, stamps and journalling!!

Rhys would not take a soother at first, but once she did, she loved it! It really helps her calm down and she usually falls asleep with it!

Pregnancy Layouts

I had the opportunity to have three photo-shoots with Melina (Melina Perron Photography) before Rhys was born. I was actually supposed to have another shoot the day Rhys was born. I wanted to watch my belly grow throughout my pregnancy and thought I would scrapbook the photos. I actually have an entire album full of layouts, but these are two of my favorite.

Beautiful Girl

I just love getting up close and personal when i take pictures of rhys! i am sure that she is starting to think that the camera is attached to my body! a fifth limb maybe! but when she grows up she will never be able to say "Why didn't you take pictures of me?"

I used basic grey paper, technique tuesday's chipboard (JSI is sold out of this right now but they will get more in), daisy d's rub-ons (they are fantastic..they go on like butter), thickers, glossy accents, stamps and sparkles.

Another "30" page

This page is all about the things i love. of course rhys as at the top of the list followed by joey and my family. I have been journalling a lot more lately! I need to keep this up as it adds a lot to the pages when someone else is reading them!

I used the Bazzill scalloped edge paper, buttons, flowers, the new fancy pants stamps, thickers, and the new daisey d's rubons on this layout. And of course the photos are taken by Melina Perron!

I don't think thirty will be that bad...only 3 days left in my 20's what should i do to whoop it up? scrapbook i am sure!

Well this weekend was very productive! While my friends were away at Camp Croppin' meeting "the ladies of scrapbooking" and rubbing elbows with the "who's who in the industry, I packed up Rhys and took her to JSI to scrapbook with some friends. Once she went to bed on Saturday night I stayed up and played some more!

I am loving the new Cosmo Cricket paper! this probably has something to do with my love for pink and brown. This layout is quite simple so i added a few buttons and page pebbles foe extra details. "RHYS" is spelled out by using the new alphabet stickers by American Crafts called thickers...I love them!!!



I had to do a page about "A day in the life of Rhys (thanks for the idea Leica). I used the Cosmo cricket paper agai(it goes with her outfit so well)!! I used Thickers, buttons, glossy accents, and stamps on this page.

Turning 30

Well everyone....next week i turn 30!

hard to believe...where did the time go? some days i still feel 21!

Melina and i recently did a photo-shoot of the girls, but while they slept, we took pictures of each other. it was a blast! so here are a few images...

"I am not perfect...i am just me"

On this layout i included a lot of journaling (which is rare for me). If you flip open the photo there is hidden journaling that contains why i am not perfect, who i am, my loves, and my wants. It was actually uplifting to write all of these things down! but i don't want everyone reading it so i hid it...i actually do this a lot!

i just love the photos melina took..so here they are again. this page also contains hidden journaling! you just pull up the ribbon and a secret tag is revealed. i hope that 30 isn't too bad!

New Blog Design

I decided to change my blog a bit as i am sick of the old one. I hope to make some more changes and add some cool new elements. check back soon for new features and new layouts. I love blogging and check out everyones each morning. Please leave me comments...i love reading them!

New Layouts

Well, it has been awhile since i have had the time to scrapbook. Here are my most recent layouts. They are not all that fancy, but i don't always do elaborate layouts. I hope to get more done this weekend.

Finding the time...

We just returned from Brandon last night and i have tons of new pictures to scrapbook from this weekend. Joey is out of town this weekend so i think that i may have to attempt to create a lot of pages. A few of my friends are heading to Calgary this weekend for camp croppin' i must say that i wish i was going too!!! maybe next year.

Page Submissions

It has always been my dream to be published so I bombard magazines with layouts...no news yet! But here are layouts I recently submitted. Someday...maybe?! Any suggestions?

I even put more than one photo on a page (something that I usually do) and included some journalling!

March Challenge

Here are my layouts for JSI's March Challenge. I just finished them and need to take them to the store. I love the new chipboard, it is so easy to ink or paint.

before we had rhys i loved scrapbooking my niece! now i must confess, i just can't seem to find the time! i have so many pics of rhys that it is hard to keep up. i must say that i need to scrap more of her photos..she is such a doll!

OLDIES BUT GOODIES?!

I was looking through some of my albums and started thinking...

We all have our favorite layouts. Ones that inspire us, ones we like to share with friends, or ones that have some of our favorite products or photos. Here are some of mine. I have definitely evolved since these pages, but for whatever reason, i sill love them.

A mother's love...

As you will soon discover all of my pages feature my daughter rhys and our family. I have had the privilege of making friends with Melina Perron who is a photographer and has completed three photo shoots of Rhys. It is so easy to scrapbook great photos. She has even been nice enough to give me a few pointers so here are my pages that feature Rhys; photo shoots. P.S. we are doing another shoot on Friday so watch for new pages coming soon.

Addicted to buttons and bling

I Ilove 3-D elements on my pages (probably why I can't fit more than 20 pages in an album)!

Lately I can't live without buttons, bling (gems), pebbles, rub-ons, and chipboard. I find myself adding these touches to all of the pages i create. I just strated adding felt and foam to my layouts (i saw that these were up and coming elements while checking out American Crafts most recent releases from CHA) and love them as well.

Crazy for Chipboard!

I love adding dimension to my layouts, so what better way than chipboard?

You can cover it with paper, ink it, emboss it, paint it, distress it, or cover it with fabric.

It now comes in so many cool shapes, colors, and sizes that you can incorporate it into any layout.

Basic Grey is not so basic

I love the new Basic Grey papers and rub-ons. I love to use black and white photos, as they are so classic.
