Happy New Year

We had a wonderful Christmas at Candle Lake and now we are having a quiet evening at home on New year's eve...
Santa found us...

We were all spoiled...

We shared the experience with family...

and ate most of the candy while decorating the gingerbread house...

If a tree falls in your living room does anybody hear?!?

Well we went to Home Depot and bought our$54 tree...set it in the stand and let the branches fall.
Sunday before we had lunch we all decorated it...then mid-afternoon (while I was out) it fell...Joey cleaned it up and salvaged all he could...set it back up and hoped for the best.
Then at supper it came crashing down again...all my childhood ornaments smashed into thousands of pieces!!!!
Saucy...I feel your pain!

Santa Claus is coming to town..."I scared no"

What a difference a week makes!
Last week at Joey's party Rhys was scared of Santa and was trying to escape as soon as she sat on his knee!
This week she sat and smiled but was staying a safe distance away!!!
She told us "I scared no", so sweet!!! Last week she said "I scared Santa, I want my mommy".
We still have mall photos, two Christmas parties and a visit on Christmas Eve with Santa so we will see what kind of photo we get by our last visit.

Stay tuned for more photos and my 3 new charm bracelets!!

Look what I made....

I saw this on a link off Saucy's blog and I just had to try it...
I made matching long-sleeve onsies and receiving blankets...wouldn't this be the cutest gift ever!
Look out fabricland...here I come! (I even bought a membership there tonight!)

7 Random things about me...

Saucy (**she is linked in my side bar) tagged me so here we go....

Random facts..

1...I think I was a personal shopper in a former life! I LOVE TO SHOP AND MY FAMILY AND FRIENDS OFTEN GET ME TO PICK UP BIRTHDAY, CHRISTMAS, ANNIVERSARY, ETC. GIFTS FOR THEM INSTEAD OF DOING THE SHOPPING THEMSELVES.

2...I hate clutter!!! I AM CONSTANTLY CLEANING UP, PUTTING THINGS AWAY AND PURGING.

3...If I died tomorrow, the only thing that would scare me is not being there for my girls. I want to watch them grow up, become women, and have children of there own so that they can feel the unconditional love you have for your children.

4...I hate spending a lot of money on things....I LOVE A BARGAIN OR SALE! BUT I HAVE BEEN KNOWN TO BUY THE SAME THING IN A FEW DIFFERENT COLOURS IF I REALLY LIKE IT!!

5...When the girls are asleep I love to make jewellery and scrapbook! I wish I could survive with less sleep...I would love to do it until the wee hours of the morning!!!

6...I could live on Chai tea lattes and carrot cake from Starbucks! I would weigh 500lbs but I would be very happy!!

7...I love the smell of my girls!! I love to smell their hair when they sit on my lap! Is this crazy??

Thanks for tagging me Saucy...this was lots of fun...

It's a "charmed" life

This time next week i will be at Sassy and Saucy's toggle party...
here are a few of my creations...none of my swap charms, just a few extras I have whipped up!

I am intrigued by clay and all the neat things you can make.

These are so quick and easy to make...all you need is:
1. Clay
2. Eye pins
3. Puff paint or Scribbles

How to:
1. Make your desired shape and put in an eye pin (trim them to fit so that only a small amount is sticking out - this is so that you can attach a jump ring to it and attach it to your charm bracelet).
2. Bake in the oven for 15 minutes
3. Let cool and decorate with puff paint.
4. Attach a jump ring and put onto a charm bracelet

**Check back on Sunday for my completed charm bracelet

Revised Wish List

I have been told that there is no way in hell that I am getting the stuff I would like so here is a new list....

1. Great weather and safe travels for those heading out on the highways over the holiday season.

2. A hug and kiss from each of my girls Christmas morning...Joey too.

3. Smiles on the faces of family as they open their gifts.

4. A hot meal and bed for those in need.

5. Parking spots close to the door of the mall for elderly and people with children during the shopping season.

Doesn't get any less selfish than that!!!

Happy Holidays

My Christmas Wish List...

My list is short and sweet this year...
First of all I really want a Land Rover...I know, as if, but a girl can dream!

I would love these UGG Boots...I may just buy them my self!

I saw this purse at the Coach store in Edmonton...just another dream

Last on my list...a new camera...and not just any camera...i would love a digital rebel!

This is why I never make a Christmas list...I ask for too many outrageous things.

What is on your list this year???
